Ezinne Kwubiri is a change agent, diversity leader, innovator, and ally. She is an Alumni of Howard University’s School of Business where she majored in accounting and business strategy. It was here that Ezinne’s passion for project management and cultural development was ignited.
Ezinne’s professional career began in the financial services industry, though she quickly set her sights to the media and entertainment industries. During her 11-year tenure at Viacom Media Networks, Ezinne served in various roles in auditing, compliance, project management, change management, diversity & inclusion and employee engagement. Ezinne’s expertise in project execution and people management, as the Senior Director of Global Business Services – Change Management, quickly landed her on projects in major markets from the United States, to Europe, to Asia.
These professional experiences have provided her with a vast portfolio and knowledge, managing different cultures and business initiatives.
Ezinne’s latest professional adventure is at fashion retailer, H&M, as the first Head of Inclusion & Diversity for the brand’s North America market – the largest market for H&M. She is tasked with creating a strategic framework, facilitating, and leading the company’s mission to foster diversity, inclusion, democracy, and respect for all of its employees.
Recently named Top 50 Diversity & Inclusion Professionals by Diversity Mavens, ESSENCE Magazine’s Black Women in Fashion to watch in 2019, Ezinne’s proven track record for executing with excellence, driving innovative results, and championing for progressive change, speak for themselves. She is a sought after thought leader, that has been featured in various publications, including Forbes, Business of Fashion, CNBC, Black Enterprise, Women’s Wear Daily (WWD), Variety, Network of Women, and TheRoot.com.
Community involvement is at the core of Ezinne’s values. The 2017 honoree of the Network Journal’s 40 Under Forty, she uses her experience and network to support organizations that empower young girls and service underrepresented communities. This has provided her opportunities to serve on the Board of Directors for She’s the First and Black Girls Cook Inc. Ezinne currently serves on the Fellows Board for Council of Urban Professionals.
Her world view is one that upholds the values that mandate equality, access, and opportunity for all humanity.
