Sabrina Lamb is the Founder and CEO of Wekeza, a Techstars-backed fintech revolutionizing financial inclusion across the African Diaspora. Her company uniquely combines access to U.S. stocks and ETFs with multilingual financial education, serving learners from pre-K through adults across the U.S., Africa, and the Caribbean. She also founded the award-winning, long- standing WorldofMoney, a New York City-based youth financial education nonprofit organization.
Through strategic partnerships with schools, cities,and financial institutions, Wekeza is closing the racial wealth gap by making investing accessible and financial education culturally relevant.
A prolific author of six best-selling books, including the NAACP Image Award–nominated “Do I Look
Like an ATM?”, Sabrina has also penned multiple cover stories for national magazines. Her work
consistently bridges the gap between complex financial concepts and practical, actionable guidance
for diverse communities.
Her pioneering leadership in financial inclusion has earned recognition from U.S. Representatives
Gregory Meeks and Josh Gottheimer, along with prestigious honors including NBC News/TheGrio 100,
Essence’s “50 Women Who Made Us Proud,” the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Rainbow
PUSH/Wall Street Project, and State Farm’s National Dream Achiever Award.
As a sought-after keynote speaker, Sabrina has presented at major industry events including
Money20/20, Festival of the Diaspora, Fintech South, Seamless Africa, Haiti Tech Summit, and Black
Enterprise Women of Power. Her media expertise spans serving as a WBLS-FM correspondent during
three Democratic National Conventions, co-hosting WWRL 1600 AM, and being a current WBLS-FM
award-winning contributor to “Open Line Online.”
Drawing on her background as a former professional actor and stand-up comedian—with
appearances on NBC’s Saturday Night Live and Lifetime Television’s Girls’ Night Out—Sabrina brings
an authentic connection with her global audience. She is a proud graduate of HBCU Lincoln University and a three-time finisher of the New York City Marathon.
