Sabina Dankwa is the global head of Technology Communications & Engagement at Morgan Stanley. In this role she is responsible for the positioning of strategic messaging for internal, external, and executive/board level communications. Prior to taking on this role, she led a governance function focused on cybersecurity and the implementation of controls in the firm’s technology risk operations.
Sabina joined Morgan Stanley in 2021 from Goldman Sachs where she led various roles from New York and Hong Kong focused on project management, risk governance, and marketing initiatives. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Sabina worked at AT&T and Lucent Technologies Bell Laboratories as a Project Manager in New Business Development and Supply Chain Management.
Beyond her business focus, Sabina is passionate about foreign policy and philanthropy. She partnered with UNICEF on a global food distribution program as part of a Tech for Good initiative and helped launched her firm’s first diversity recruiting initiative in Africa.
A native of Ghana, West Africa, Sabina is also passionate about African art and culture. She serves on the Board of Women at NJPac (New Jersey Performing Arts Center) and has collaborated on cross-cultural initiatives to create awareness around African fashion, art and investment. She sits on the BlackStars Advisory Board and the Advisory Council for the Ghana Investment Summit, an organization that channels global investment opportunities to Africa, and promote Ghana as a gateway to investment in the region.
In 2019, Sabina was nominated for Bloomberg’s Different Women, Different Places global initiative. She is a recipient of the ’30 BlackStars’ achievement award and a lifetime member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
Sabina holds a joint MBA degree in Marketing and International Business from Rutgers University (USA) and Cambridge University (UK). She graduated with a BSc degree in Marketing from Claflin University.
