Umindi Francis Denis is the CEO and Founder of UFCG, Umindi Francis Consulting Group, an award winning international brand consulting firm based in New York City and founded in 2010. Her expertise is in brand development, partnerships and strategic communications for fashion, luxury, entertainment, art & design, lifestyle and technology brands. Over the years Francis Denis has consulted for brands such as Gianvito Rossi, Ralph Lauren, Fendi, Celine, Emilio Pucci, Studio189, Red Bay Coffee, Lisa Folawiyo, MoMA, Centre Pompidou, The New York Times, Bumble App and Moet Chandon to name a few. The firm also represents celebrity talent and has worked with everyone from David Copperfield to Estelle and Justine Skye. Francis Denis has been integral in positioning companies to achieve multimillion-dollar to billion-dollar valuations and critically acclaimed success. She began her career in finance before embarking upon a career in strategic marketing and communications for international luxury conglomerates LVMH at Louis Vuitton, and Gucci Group (now Kering) at Bottega Veneta. In addition to being an integral part of restructuring start-ups to blue chip brands alike, Francis Denis also works with Private Equity Firms and Venture Capitalists to identify ideal brand investment opportunities.
Francis Denis is recognized as an industry leader for her work and has been featured in numerous publications including Time, Vogue.com, Vogue Italia, Essence, Harper’s Bazaar, Marie Claire, Ebony, GQ and New York to name a few. For the last eight years she has sat on the Board of MoCADA, the Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts located in Fort Greene Brooklyn. Francis Denis was the founding Chair of the institution’s Capital Campaign Committee helping the museum reach 30 million dollars towards it’s 60 million dollar goal and is still actively involved in this initiative. She is also an esteemed industry advisor to Harlem’s Fashion Row an organization who mentors and supports multicultural fashion designers who are underrepresented in the fashion industry.
Francis Denis is a graduate of Temple University with a Bachelor of Arts in Neurobehavorial Psychology and a minor in Business Administration and Marketing.
