Yves Lawson is currently the Vice President and Unit Chief Information Officer supporting the Colleague Experience Group (CEG), Corporate Affairs & Communications (CA&C), General Counsel’s Office (GCO) and Global Real Estate & Workplace Enablement (GREWE) at American Express. Prior to his current role, Yves served as Vice President and Chief of Staff for the Office of the Chief Information Officer (CIO), where he partnered with the Technology Leadership Team and other key stakeholders to deliver on a range of initiatives, including the Technology Diversity & Inclusion plan, the creation of a colleague community focused on Black/African-American technologists at American Express, as well as improving the overall effectiveness of the CIO Office. Prior to joining American Express, Yves held several increasingly responsible leadership roles at BNY Mellon in Corporate Strategy, HR, and Technology. Before that, he held roles at both McKinsey & Company and Deloitte, where he advised clients and developed strategic recommendations on technology issues in the financial services, healthcare, non-profit, and pharmaceutical sectors, and delivered strategic recommendations.
Yves also holds an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School, a B.E. in Computer Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and a B.S. in Computer Science from New York University.
