As Senior Vice President and Head of Global Communications for Fiserv, Inc. (NASDAQ: FI), a global leader in payments and financial technology, Sophia leads all aspects of the company’s communications strategy—including employee communications, public relations, and reputation management. In this role, she is responsible for shaping the voice and narrative of a Fortune 500 company that serves clients in over 100 countries.
Prior to joining Fiserv, Sophia served as Senior Vice President of Communications for Comcast’s Central Division, overseeing communications and creative services for the company’s largest division, supporting more than 20 million customers across the Midwest and Southeast. She previously held the role of Company Officer and Vice President of Communications for Wellstar Health System, where she led strategic communications, public relations, and crisis response during one of the most challenging periods in modern healthcare. Her work garnered earned media coverage valued at over $20 million in a single year.
Throughout her career, Sophia has held senior communications leadership roles at notable organizations, including GE Power, where she served as Executive Director of CEO & Global Culture Communications, as well as GE Industrial Solutions, Serta Simmons Bedding, NASCO, Albany State University, and UPS. Sophia holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Albany State University and a Master of Science in Technical and Professional Communication from Kennesaw State University.
