Duane is a global financial services executive with over three decades of experience in law and business. A trusted advisor, he brings a unique multidisciplinary background in strategy, finance, and risk management to help organizations drive profitable growth. He has worked internationally and brings a broad perspective and exceptional cross-cultural and foreign language competence. Duane served as the Senior Finance and Business Manager for JPMorgan’s Latin America Private Bank and the Chief Operating Officer for Morgan Stanley’s International Wealth Management business.
Duane is known for driving profitable growth, making key connections, building careers, and leading and mentoring inclusive teams. His TEDxTalk,”Check Your Preference and Improve Your Results” and recent article on DE&I, governance and risk management exemplify his creative ability to illustrate effective principles in this space.
He serves as Board Secretary of The Thirty West Forty-Fourth Street Foundation and Board Member of the Lauder Institute Advisory Council of the Wharton Graduate School of Business. He is also a former term member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
Duane began his career at Wall Street law firms Shearman & Sterling and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett. He holds JD, MBA, and MA degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and a BA degree summa cum laude from Howard University. He is professionally proficient in Spanish and Portuguese. Duane lives in northern New Jersey with his wife; and, in his free time,enjoys advising young people early in their careers, including his three adult children.
