Evaristus Mainsah is VP, People eXperience & Technology, Amazon Ads & IMDb leading a global team of professionals supporting an organization with thousands of professionals – from creatives through to data scientists, sales and operations leaders – that generates $31B+ in annual revenue (2021). His team includes talent acquisition and talent management leaders, leadership and learning, employee experience, diversity, equity and inclusion as well as data scientists building products to improve employee experience and using technology to drive outcomes. He partners with business leadership and PXT teams across Amazon to create an inclusive and engaging culture, develop talent, and support business growth and innovation for more than 1.6 million Amazonians.

Prior to that he was General Manager, Hybrid Cloud & Edge Ecosystem, leading the IBM ecosystem team working with Global Systems Integrators and other technology ecosystem partners to enable them to deliver value to their clients through hybrid Cloud and AI. He ran other businesses including IBM’s Client Financing unit as well as the Global Asset Recovery remarketing unit – responsible for reverse logistics and remarketing of refurbished used equipment.

He also served as General Auditor of IBM, and as IBM Assistant Treasurer; and held other senior finance, operations, and sales roles across Europe and worldwide. He is a diversity champion and was Co-Chair of the Black Executive Council at IBM driving initiatives to increase representation and engagement of diverse employees, and leading the Tech for Good initiative.

Evaristus holds an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School, a Ph.D. in Engineering, an M.Sc. in Manufacturing Technology and a B.Sc in Computer Science & Electronic Engineering all from the University of Birmingham, UK. He serves on the Board of Directors of the King Baudouin Foundation-USA, a non-profit facilitating charitable giving to Europe, Africa and Asia.
