Sheila Stephens is currently the Vice President – Assistant Treasurer for Kaiser Permanente, the largest private nonprofit Health care system in the United States. She leads a team responsible for the daily working capital of the organization, administration of all payment and receipt channels and management of banking relationships. She is also responsible for new technology solutions.
Prior to joining Kaiser, Sheila spent over twenty years in accounting and finance and has held positions of increasing responsibility in oil and gas exploration, entertainment and health care. Her functional scope has included, budgeting, financial planning and analysis, facilities management, corporate finance and cash management.
She received her Executive MBA from UCLA and has an undergraduate degree in accounting. She recently completed the Executive Leadership Program at Harvard University. She is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and the Association for Financial Professionals (AFP).
She is an alumni of California Leadership, a California statewide program dedicated to advancing the leadership role women play in impacting business, social issues and public policy. Sheila co-founded B.R.I.D.G.E.S., a nonprofit organization dedicated to developing, motivating and inspiring inner city girls. She was recently honored by the Inglewood School District for her work with middle school students in the district.
