Aaron Anderson is the Chief Accounting Officer at Meta Platforms, Inc., where he leads a global finance organization overseeing Financial Reporting, Controllership, Indirect Sourcing, Finance Operations—including data strategy, procurement, billing, and collections—Global Payroll, and Finance Transformation initiatives. In this role, Aaron drives the adoption of advanced technologies, robust internal controls, and AI-powered solutions to optimize Meta’s complex financial operations worldwide.
Prior to joining Meta, he held pivotal roles at PayPal, serving as Senior Vice President and Treasurer and Chief Accounting Officer. Notably, Aaron played a key role in leading PayPal’s successful IPO in 2015. His career also includes impactful tenures at MasterCard, IBM, and Deloitte, where he developed expertise in accounting, treasury, and organizational leadership.
Beyond his executive responsibilities, Aaron serves as Board Member and Audit Committee Chair at ZeroHash LLC and sits on the Corporate Advisory Board of the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA).
Aaron holds a Master’s degree in Accounting and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. He is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) in Nebraska and Connecticut and an active member of Financial Executives International (FEI).
