Dr. Celeste Player serves as President of EviCore, the market leader in medical benefit management. In this role, Celeste is committed to making healthcare better and more sustainable for over 100 million patients nationwide. Additionally, she is responsible for growth of all business segments and delivering innovative strategies that create value and affordability for clients.
Celeste has proven skills as a companywide collaborator and influencer. In her nearly two decades with the organization, Celeste has held leadership positions in sales & clinical account management, operations, pharmacy practice, strategy and transformation, and supply chain. Celeste is a true advocate for patients, physicians and clients. As a committed contributor to her native St. Louis community, Celeste serves on the boards of the Cigna Group Foundation, Rx Outreach, Xavier University of Louisiana, and Professional Organization of Women, Inc. (POW).
Celeste is passionate about developing our future healthcare leaders and serves as Co-Director for the BESt Healthcare Institute, a STEM program focused on fostering future careers in healthcare among high school students. She is also a graduate of the St. Louis Business Diversity Initiative Fellows Program, Transformational Leadership Program for Multicultural Women, Cigna’s Senior Leader Talent Pool, and McKinsey Academy’s Black Executive Leadership Program.
Celeste has been recognized as a member of Savoy Magazine’s 2024 Most Influential Executives in Corporate America, the YWCA Academy of Leaders, Savoy Magazine’s Most Influential Blacks in Corporate America, and St. Louis Business Journal’s Diverse Business Leader. Celeste received a Doctor of Pharmacy from Xavier University College of Pharmacy in New Orleans, Louisiana. She is happily married with two children.
