Francessca Vasquez is the Vice President, Frontier AI Engineering and Services for Amazon Web Services (AWS). She leads the global sales, delivery, and product engineering P&L of AWS consulting services and offerings, AI delivery, the GenAI
Innovation Center, and management of customer engagements across public sector, commercial, and partners. Her team operates in over 48 countries directing programs that accelerate innovation and time-to-value for customers. She oversees service delivery and customer success for emerging technologies such as Agentic AI, Security, Quantum Computing, and Application Modernization.
Under her leadership, AWS helps customers build and deploy generative artificial intelligence solutions, connecting AWS AI and ML experts with customers worldwide to envision, design, and launch new generative AI products, services, and processes. Francessca also serves as the Executive Sponsor for the AWS Global CIO Council.
In 2022, Francessca was named to Business Insider’s Cloudverse 100, which recognizes thought leaders building the next generation of the internet. Prior to AWS, Francessca held a number of sales, business development, product, and technology leadership roles with Oracle, Salesforce, CSC (now DxC), Sun Microsystems, and the U.S. Department of Defense.
She holds a Master’s degree in Science and Technology Public Policy from George Mason University and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Lynchburg, where she formerly served as a Board of Trustee member. She is a STEM advocate and active participant in non-profits that inspire cultural inclusion, equitable access, and leadership development such as the First Tee, Rainier Prep, Code.org, and Rainier Scholars – a 12-year program offering a pathway to college for low-income students of color.
